I've had the same avatar for 10 months now and I really only doodled it when I had nothing else to put as my profile, since I dislike having my face for a profile for privacy reasons. So I wondered if any "active watchers" (honestly is there anyone like that for me yet? XD ) thought maybe I should give an honest effort for a new profile.

Thank you and I hope you continue to support me and my art.

The Process #1

1 min read
I was wondering if you guys would be interested in seeing a little bit of the process I take to make my pieces, so this is a little test run. This is my little doodle I posted for the holidays. I was pretty proud of it because it was my first piece using the digital medium.

I'm super sorry that I haven't been uploading anything besides my weird short stories. I promise you guys that I have like a stack

of drawings and paintings I really want to show you guys, but Photoshop was taken off my desktop computer, so I need to get that back up in order for me to upload anything. No I don't change everything to try and make it look better through Photoshop; I just mess around with the levels and the lighting, so it looks somewhat like it looks like in reality.

Thank you guys for waiting and I promise I'll get things up and running soon. Here's a little sneak peak of what I've been working on (sorry it's not a great photo because again no photoshop Sweating a little... ):

A short play I made for my drama project. I would love feedback on it! This play is a comedy and yes the title has a pun in it. Basically a short summary of it is that it makes fun of the popular fairy tale of princesses, heroes, and dragons by adding little twists like having the main character being "The Tree". Yes, I was asked to integrate "Helpless" from the musical Hamilton and "Masquerade" from The Phantom of the Opera into the script by my fellow co-director. All rights to these songs go to their respectful owners. Also ignore my weird action notes in asterisks, those are just some notes for my club. Thank you and I hope you enjoy~

Scene 1:The Enchanted Forest (The Tree present)

The Narrator: Gather around so I may tell you a tale of heroes and villains, love and hate, friends and enemies. But oh, what’s this? Our tale starts off rather odd on the outskirts of the enchanted forest.

The Tree: I've been rooted to this forest for a long time. Waiting. Watching. But not once have I had a major role. The role of the tree in the eyes of the universe is made for the people that are unimportant and generally a bit dull. *sighs*

Scene 2: In the Ballroom of the Castle of The Magic Kingdom where ball is taking place (The King, The Princess, The Princess’s Sister, and the Hero are present)

The Narrator: Now we will go to the events going on inside the castle of The Magic Kingdom, where they are holding a ball to celebrate the visit of a prince from The Neighboring Kingdom, who catches the eye of The Princess.

*Helpless sung by The Princess while she watches The Hero from afar*

The Hero: Ah, let me introduce myself, I am The Hero, the 2nd prince from The Neighboring Kingdom. I am graced to be in your presence.

The Princess: No no, it is my pleasure to meet you. Come, let us talk a while before this ball ends. I understand you will be visiting our kingdom for a week or so, if so I want to gladly welcome you.

*The Hero and The Princess sit down at a side table and begin talking*

The Narrator: And so the two talked with one another for the rest of the night.

The Hero: Ah Princess, thank you for tonight. After talking I feel like I should confess something to you.

The Princess: Oh I hope you do tell.

The Hero: Well you see. I think I may lo-

*The Dragon runs into room roaring, grabs The Princess and exits with The Princess*

The King: Oh Hero, please go after that dragon and get The Princess back safely! I’m afraid I’m too old and feeble to go on missions anymore.

The Hero: Fear not! *takes sword out of belt and raises up* I will get The Princess back, even if it risks my life! *runs off stage*

Scene 3: The Enchanted Forest (The Tree is present)

The Narrator: Our hero gallops into the Enchanted Forest in pursuit of The Dragon to rescue The Princess. His love and honor on the line.

The Tree: What’s this? I hear the gallop of a horse coming this way. You know what? That’s probably The Hero going after that dragon that flew pass here not too long ago. Ah it annoys me that he gets all the glory in the spotlight! But this time is going to be different for I have a plan.

*The Hero gallops by but The Tree knocks him out when he goes by and takes family crest*

With this even I can become the protagonist!

The Narrator: (to The Tree) Hey, you can’t do that! That’s not how the story goes.

The Tree: Oh come on, won’t this be a lot more interesting. Aren't you tired of reading the same old story all of the time?

The Narrator: You make a good point *ponders for a moment* Alright, you have me convinced. I’ll keep going with this.

Scene 4: The Enchanted Forest, Village (The Shopkeeper and The Rentable Sidekick are present)

The Tree: *enters* Ah what a lovely small village I've stumbled upon.

Shopkeeper: Hey you tall fellow over there, come come I have noticed that you bare the crest of the family of The Neighboring Kingdom. I have some items in my shop that I guarantee that will interest you. *puts arm around The Tree and brings to various piles of items* It looks like you are on a journey are you not?

The Tree: Oh yes, very much so.

Shopkeeper: Then I have just the things for you. You’ll need some armor and weapons *grabs handful of armor and weapons and puts in The Trees arms* You’ll need a horse too. Come, Come. *gives horse*

The Tree:*points at The Rentable Sidekick* What about him?

The Shopkeeper: Oh that’s just a rentable sidekick; he’s not that important.

The Tree: No, A great protagonist always has a sidekick. Plus I can one up that Hero guy. I’ll take him too. Now how much for all of this?

The Shopkeeper: I must insist that this costs nothing. You pretty much pay by just owning that crest you have. It’s practically free advertisment. Have a nice day.

Scene 5: The Enchanted Forest, Village (The Warrior, The Mage, and The Elf Archer present)

The Warrior: Hey you! Yeah the tall fellow over there. I happened to notice all those supplies, are you by any chance going on an adventure.

The Tree: Yes, yes I am!

The Warrior: As a fellow fighter, I would like to give you my aid. I would never pass up on a chance to get back on the battlefield. You see there isn’t hardly any good battles in this forest anymore. I hope you can grant this old soldier another chance to swing this axe. Plus I happened to notice that crest you wear.

The Tree: You seem like a hearty fellow yourself. I would appreciate the aid.

The Warrior: *laughs* It’s a done deal. How about I show you to a few of my drinking buddies.

*The Tree, The Warrior and The Rentable Sidekick walk forward a little to The Mage*

The Warrior: This here is The Mage.

The Tree: If it isn’t rude to ask, why aren’t you, umm- you know, singed at the edges?

The Mage: Oh, I provide the village with medicines. So what do you want.

The Warrior: This tall fellow is on an adventure. I think you may want to tag along.

The Mage: I have no interest in such fighting anymore, although I am sort of interested in what kind of magic even makes you possible. *points at The Tree*

The Narrator: Plot convenience.

The Mage: What?

The Narrator: What?

The Mage: Anyway, I’ll tag along. I mean you do have that crest as well, so might as well.

The Warrior: Ah look it’s another one of my brethren I fought along side with, The Elven Archer.

The Archer: How may I be of assistance?

The Warrior: We’re going on a little quest. I thought that you would like to come because of that dream of yours.

The Tree: A dream?

The Archer: Yes! I dream that if I partake in a mission that becomes famous across the lands, then more people will appreciate this beautiful forest! And I can become the cool Elven Archer that all the girls swoon over!

The Tree: ok then….well you’re welcome to join.

The Archer: Really!? I couldn’t help seeing that crest as well. This quest must be the one in my dream. I’m guessing that we’re after the dragon that flew over head? It’s residing that way!

The Tree: How did you figure all that out?

The Archer: The forest told me.

*all silent, but The Tree just shrugs and party goes offstage*

Scene 6: The Enchanted Forest (The Hero present on floor)

The Narrator: As the party of some weird mmo forms, The Hero begins to regain his conscience.

The Hero: Where in the world did my family crest go! Without it, well I don’t want to think about that. It was just a moment, but it was that tree wasn’t it?! I must hurry and save the princess before he does or else my honor will be greatly damaged! Come my great steed! *”gallops” offstage in hurry*

Scene 7: The Enchanted Forest (The Dragon and the Princess present)

The Narrator: Because The Archer thought the forest told them to go “weast” The Tree’s party was a little delayed on the path to where The Dragon and The Princess were. Thus The Hero was able to make it there before our heroic party.

The Hero: Aha! I have come here to slay The Dragon and to save the lovely Princess! Prepare foul beast!

The Princess: My hero.

The Dragon: *roars*

*The Hero barely taps The Dragon and nothing happens*

The Hero: What!? My greatest attack was no effect on it!

*The Dragon lightly punches The Hero and he is sent to the floor*

The Hero: Is this how it all ends!?

The Tree: Not yet!

*The Tree and party come onstage and pose*

The Princess: My hero?

The Tree: The reason why your finishing move did not work was because you have lost all your MC power, for I have taken the role as protagonist! All plot convenience and plot armor have left you. Now for the matter at hand. We’ll use the greatest power of them all! With the power of friendship I slay thee!!

*”friendship power ball” falls short and does nothing. All characters are silent as they stare*

The Tree: Huh, well that didn’t work…. Let’s go to plan B and use the power of weaponry!

The Dragon: Wait wait wait. The guy who hired me didn’t pay me enough for this. I’m just going to leave. *goes offstage while all silent and still*

*The Tree and party begin the celebrate*

The Tree: Let’s go back to the castle of The Magic Kingdom to celebrate.

The Hero: *says as The Princess helps him to his feet* Well you weren’t as bad as I thought, thank you for saving my life. Although I’m not sure if I can show my face at The Magic Kingdom after such a disgrace.

The Tree: Nonsense, here’s your crest back. I only wanted to get back at you for all the humiliation, but I’ve had my fill on revenge. I’m sure The Old King will welcome you back.

Scene 8: The ballroom of The Magic Kingdom (All present besides The Dragon)

The Narrator: As this story wraps up, the heroes go back to The Magic Kingdom to attend a Masquerade in honor of them all. The guest of honor of course is The Tree, who is satisfied with finally getting in the spotlight of it all. The Masquerade turned into a celebration of not only the return of The Princess and the heroes, but another surprising occasion.

The Hero: Your Honor, I know it is selfish for me to ask, but may I have your daughter’s hand in marriage?

The King: Of course, we need a new dashing king for this old place anyway. And you, The Tree.

The Tree: Yes?

The King: I can’t give you much, but I hope you take this sack of 1000 pieces of gold and a promotion to having a title as a general.

The Tree: I gladly accept! Now how about we have a little dance?

*Masquerade*

*The Rentable Sidekick pulls out a knife and stabs The Tree*

The Rentable Sidekick: Aha! I was actually the one who sent The Dragon. I’ll be back even stronger to make these kingdoms fall! For now adieu! *runs off stage*

The Hero: Are you okay!?

The Tree: Yeah, he just hit this sack of gold. *pulls out gold from inside pocket*

The Princess: What do you think that was all about?

The Tree: Probably sequel bait, for a sequel that probably won’t happen.

The Narrator: And so I end my tale. (leans in close towards the audience: I hope I didn’t bore you to death with this low production thing you could call a play). Anyway, with that, they all lived happily ever after.
